"Engine On - Phone Off" Policy

At ARK Enterprise (Pvt.) Ltd., employee safety is our paramount concern. We are committed to the principle of "no harm to people," which extends to ensuring safe driving practices.
In recognition of the growing reliance on mobile phones for business purposes, we have implemented an "engine on - phone off" policy.
This policy prohibits the use of mobile phones or other communication equipment while driving company vehicles or personal vehicles for work purposes.

This initiative reflects our commitment to:

Employee Safety: Minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries associated with distracted driving.

Road Safety: Promoting responsible driving practices and contributing to a safer overall driving environment.

Productivity: Ensuring employees are fully focused on the task at hand while on the road.

SCOPE
The standard applies to the use of mobile phones and hand held two-way radios whilst driving accompany vehicle or own car on work related activities or company business. It applies to all company drivers. It is also recommended that ARK staff adopt this standard when driving on personal business, thereby demonstrating leadership and commitment to the enhancement of road safety.

STANDARD
With immediate effect the use of mobile phones or two-way radios whilst a vehicle is in motion shall be forbidden within ARK, even with the use of Hands Free Facility. Any deviation of this standard shall be treated as a case of serious misconduct.
